ROLES:
Concept, Research, Branding, Design, Binding, and Cooking // Kailee Slusser
reRoot is an installation project researching the connections between raising and consuming commercial livestock and environmental factors such as climate change, water consumption, and land usage. My concept, reRoot, is one potential solution—a restaurant experience in which we come together to learn about the effect of our diets on the environment and to eat sustainably sourced plant-based meals. It is a hypothetical traveling restaurant concept that seeks to engage locals in making sustainable food choices in their own community, by sending guests home with a recipe card or restaurant location to recreate the dining experience. At the wobble exhibition opening, I featured an appetizer, entrée, and dessert from the menu to simulate the atmosphere of the concept. I designed all materials.
