KAITLYN ANDERSON: GUACAMOLE DAY PROMOTIONS AND COLLATERAL
ROLES:
Strategy // Amanda Moline
Design // Kaitlyn Anderson
Art Direction // Kailee Slusser
Kaitlyn independently drafted a stunning National Guacamole Day poster for Ohio University Culinary Services. I worked with her to improve legibility with tactful drop shadows. I then worked with her to make significant style changes to her original recipe card concepts to align the visuals on the cards with her original poster design, using elements such as the white stroke on all pieces.
MAX CATALANO: STUDENT LIFE SHOTS BOBCAT STORE PRODUCT PHOTOS
ROLES:
Photography // Max Catalano
Art Direction // Kailee Slusser
Max and I worked together to increase his confidence and approach to asking strangers to take photographs and sign consent forms, empowering him to take some of the photographs below. The position also demanded commercial photography while Max's original strengths lied in photojournalism. I coached Max on the OHIO Bobcat Store's photography style, helped him to set up shot lists, and guided him through the process of capturing a product from different angles and depths to inspire trust in online shoppers.
NICOLE DINAN: HOURS OF OPERATION ELEMENT DESIGN
ROLES:
Design // Nicole Dinan
Art Direction // Kailee Slusser
I tasked Nicole with proposing a design mockup for a potential web element that would handle dynamic and ever-changing business hours of operation that would fit in seamlessly with existing web elements at Ohio University. We started by talking through the goals for the element and the problems with the existing development solutions. Once she had proposed a concept, we worked through some technical and practical issues to optimize her design for efficiency and I suggested some tweaks to the design that she decided to implement.
MICAH SANDERS: WELCOME WEEK BRAND
ROLES:
Strategy // Hailee Tavoian
Design // Micah Sanders
Art Direction // Kailee Slusser
In 2019, I worked with Micah to refine her proposal for the OHIO Welcome Week logo, including adding texture, tweaking the color palette, and refining the illustration. For 2020, I met with leaders in OHIO Athletics to gather their input on tweaking the mascot, as Rufus is an athletic-owned character. I worked with Micah to convey necessary edits and came to some compromises with the athletics marketing team to help Micah produce the 2020 update on the Welcome Week logo.

MICAH SANDERS: OHIO UNIVERSITY ART
ROLES:
Strategy // Hailee Tavoian // Kailee Slusser
Design // Micah Sanders
Art Direction // Kailee Slusser // Hailee Tavoian
Before creating this coloring page, I provided Micah with a list of elements that could represent Ohio University in a page full of icons. She executed on the concept and added some of her own ideas. I worked with her tweak the art and bring the piece together as a cohesive page.
On a related sticker project, I provided Micah with an abundance of visual inspiration and research from other universities when the designer was stuck on how to move forward. The resulting stickers accomplished the original vision for the project.
EMMA HOWELLS: BOBCAT STORE PRODUCT PHOTOS
ROLES:
Photography // Emma Howells
Art Direction // Kailee Slusser
I coached Emma on using her skills for posing and capturing personalities to also capture and elevate commercial products for the OHIO Bobcat Store. We worked together on detailed shot lists. By guiding Emma's understanding of the user experience of shopping online without being able to hold a physical product in one's hand, I coached her on capturing product details that a user my be unsure about and making sure photos are descriptive, color-balanced, and crisp.
PROCESSES AND SYSTEMS
In my last two positions, I have worked within a design workflow that combines Trello and Airtable project management tools. On both teams, I have contributed significant improvements to the process, allowing for greater efficiency and productivity.
I created and managed a workflow process for client web edit requests using Airtable alone.
Both systems allow for live status updates, internal communication, and in-depth project organization.
